CTS, an area wireless and RF engineering company is currently seeking experienced System Level technicians to perform preventative and corrective maintenance and have experience in advanced Project 25 Digital Equipment and the PTP Data Network commonly utilized for site interface.Employees will be expected to work in service shop, on site and in customer locations and 24 hour on call response.
CTS has fully-equipped test benches outfitted with modern, state-of-the-art diagnostic test equipment. This position requires that you are able and willing to take call on a rotating basis including weekends.
Responsibilities Duties Requirements include: Vehicle installs of public safety equipment, maintenance and troubleshooting on customer equipment, programming and site installations. Ideal applicants should possess the following experience/skills: Bench level test and repair for mobile and portable subscriber units. Must be familiar with all bench level test equipment (Systems Analyzer, Watt Meter, DMM, O-Scope). Base / Repeater and Trunking System test and repair, experience with multiple protocols. Applicant should be experienced with standard and master level antenna networks (combiner, receiver multicoupler, preselector, duplexer) and be able to test and lead in repair efforts both from ground and directing a tower crew. Motorola P25 7x trained and certified is a plus. Have a good working knowledge of IP Networking equipment commonly used in today’s high tier communication systems.Maintain wireless IP systems containing WLAN, PTP & PTMP hardware.Should have good hand eye coordination and dexterity, experienced with de-soldering and soldering board components.Multiple location business requires travel on special project assignments. You must be able to travel occasionally. Requirements: ETA-I Certification, CET, R-56 or Wireless Communications "WCM" - Journeyman Bachelor of Science Degree, Technical Trade School, Electronics Certification or Military Training preferred.Experience: 10 Years on bench and 5 years in fieldWorking knowledge of computers, operating systems and network configuration Experience using test equipment, such as Network and Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, DMMs, RF Gen, Antenna Line Sweep equipment. Experience with wireless equipment i.e.: Mobile & Portable subscriber units, Base & Repeater Transmitters, antenna systems, PTP & PTMP, WLAN, Trunking stations and controllers.Experience with Motorola equipment and training in one or more of the following: * P25 Subscriber Units * XTS / XTL units * HT & CDM units * CP, CM, & Vertex units * Digital, Tone, DC, & Local control remote units * MotoTRBO Subscriber Units * Quantar Stations * MTR2000, MTR3000 Stations * Trunking and Conventional Repeaters and Controllers, multiple generations * Dispatch Consoles and 911 Systems, Logging Recorders… * Motorola Enterprise Mobility suite of products for fixed wireless networksProvide your installation, and other basic tool sets. Ability to adapt to rapid environment changes in two-way communications, service calls and production businesses. Able to travel on special project requirements.Ability to work 24/7 on call rotation Valid Drivers License required, has reliable transportation for to and from work
