BATS Wireless provides a proprietary software and hardware platform that locates, locks, and tracks wireless broadband communication access points. Through the use of its industry-first platform, BATS enables organizations to rapidly deploy self-healing, fixed or mobile links over long distances. BATS has set the industry standard for delivering high-bandwidth, high-availability intelligent networks for critical data and communications.
The Broadband Antenna Tracking System automatically stabilizes, optimizes, and tracks broadband communication links that allow for improved communication distances, additional mobility to terrestrial-based communication systems, and increased bandwidth to end users. BATS technology can extend, offset, or aggregate a variety of network resources, ranging from fiber, Ethernet, WiFi, LTE, WiMax, microwave, or satellite; and can deliver up to gigabit connectivity.
As many companies are looking for more efficient ways to transmit data and communications, they turn to CTS Consolidated Telecom Services for a Broadband Antenna Tracking Solution. The flexibility of BATS technology makes it a crucial component in markets around the world, offering customers the reliable broadband connectivity. BATS products and solutions enable core Wireless Wide Area Networks (WWAN) to become intelligent, aware, and adaptive, leading to high-capacity broadband infrastructure for clients.

BATS Wireless Trials High-Capacity,
High-Speed Roaming Emergency Communications Network
PRWEB.COM Newswire
Indianapolis, Indiana (PRWEB) May 01, 2014
BATS Wireless (BATS), the world's leading innovator of wireless stabilization, optimization, and tracking systems and Consolidated Telecom Services (CTS), today announced the successful trial of its self-aligning point-to-point (PTP) microwave link, in Harris County, Texas. These systems will provide high-bandwidth, high-speed wireless connectivity for the delivery of critical communications.
BATS provided an adaptive microwave link utilizing two BTS-50 antenna systems which were configured to deliver both data and communications to roaming test vehicles throughout Harris County. Link setup times averaged under one minute, and were capable of delivering up to 200+ Mbit/s peak speeds – equal to about 40 concurrent HD surveillance video streams. The systems were installed by CTS on the Chase Building in downtown Houston as well as Harris County's Mobile Command FirstNet E-Node B LTE Site vehicle, providing a capable roaming distance of 50 miles from the fixed site for enhanced emergency communication capabilities. Harris County Information Technology Center (ITC) deploys the only licensed and operational public safety LTE system in the US and hopes to further expand their LTE footprint once negotiations between the State of Texas and FirstNet are complete.
This project represents one of the many possibilities for BATS technology in public safety communications. The successful deployment of a high-bandwidth network in Harris County illustrates that public safety departments across the country can be provided with secure, high-speed, operational networks. Along with signature partner CTS, BATS is able to provide the throughput public safety departments require without the low bandwidth or prohibitive costs of commercial cellular or satellite methods.
"Hundreds of communication command vehicles have been purchased by jurisdictions throughout the US but the bandwidth that they offer to incident command is limited to aircards and satellite. Neither of these options are particularly reliable during a large incident and neither can approach the 100 to 200 Mbits/per second commonly seen with BATS," said Lesia Dickson, Director for Emerging Technologies, CTS. "We believe that this technology is truly a game-changer for field response."
"Drawing on CTS' knowledge of the public safety market and BATS' longstanding experience in high-capacity, self-aligning PTP microwave, our combined strength will allow us to address the emerging need for more secure, high-bandwidth, high-throughput wireless networks." says Phillip Cramer, V.P. Sales & Marketing, BATS Wireless. "This is something that is currently missing, but sorely needed to help our public safety officials perform their duties much faster, without the budgetary concerns of a costly satellite alternative."
